Mark Matthews recently has been consulting in a business development role with a mid-market, non-automotive manufacturer that sought entry into the automotive supply base. In eight months he achieved approved supplier status with 10 major tier one accounts, with over 30 projects quoted at $53 million in sales.
Previously, as president and owner of three automotive components manufacturing companies, Mr. Matthews led turnaround activities through both dramatic new business growth and operating efficiency improvement. Following the sale of his companies, Mark worked with the new owner under a transition contract to acquire and operate five additional businesses to form the Arete Group located in Indiana and Michigan.
Mr. Matthews graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in business.
